Pay Now Orders
If you provide the Option for Customers to pay for their Bill immediately, you can select the 'Pay Now' option.
For this Tutorial, we will follow our Order through the 'Pay Now' process.
1. When you have taken a Customer's order, you'll see the 'Pay Now' option at the bottom of your screen. Select this to send the Order to your staff and your Dines Dashboard.
2. Clicking 'Pay Now' displays the total amount. You can charge the full amount or there are options to Split the bill. Scroll below for more information on this and completing transactions.
Splitting a Payment
Should your customers wish to Split a Payment between the table, rather than pay the full amount in one go, select the button Split next to the total amount.
This will then display the most common ways to Split the bill. Select the 'X Ways' you need, then Charge Card.
If your customer wishes to pay a different amount, tap the pencil/edit icon next to the Order value.
Here, you can see how much is left to pay, and enter the amount below. Click Charge Card to charge the customer £5.70.
Completing the Transactions
As an example, we are going to complete this transaction as if Customers are paying individually.
Hand over your card reader to your customer to complete their side of the transaction. You can choose to cancel on the Dashboard in the Pending box or by pressing 'X' on your reader.
This Customer wishes to pay the £5.70 of the transaction.
Once their payment has processed, you will automatically be taken back to the 'Take Payment' screen. Let's complete this transaction by taking payment for the remaining £10.95.
You can see details of the first Split payment is shown at the bottom of the window.
As before, hand over the card reader and click Charge Card to the customer. When taking any payment, you will see that the payment is authenticating, as shown below.
Now the Order is fully paid for, you can thank your Customers and click Done to continue serving other people!
