How do I create & manage Menu Items?

Step 1 - From the Inventory tab of your Dashboard, click 'add menu item' in the top right corner.

Step 2 - Complete mandatory information (product name, price, and category):

Name - aim to keep this under 45 characters.
Price (£) - the base price before Modifiers.
Categories - select the relevant group. Multiple Categories can be selected, which could be useful for a 'Popular' Category.

Step 3 - Complete other relevant fields (descriptions below) and tap 'create' in the top right.

The more information you provide, the better your and your customers' experience will be.

Enabled - deselect to hide the Menu Item from customer view completely.
In Stock? - deselect to mark an item as out of stock in your Menu (learn more about Stock Management).
Position - number Menu Items to order them within a Category. Items with the same number are listed alphabetically.
Description - help customers understand the Menu Item in fewer than 250 characters.
Item Type - helps generate accurate reports.
Kitchen Mode Item - choose Yes for Menu Items that require Kitchen preparation (learn more about Kitchen Mode).
VAT amount on collection/premise - the percentage charged for items consumed on or off your premises.
Image - product photos help customers decide what to order (learn more about Image Specifications).
Allergens - keep customers safe and informed.
Dietary Requirements - label products so customers can select items to suit their needs.

Step 1 - From the Inventory tab of your Dashboard, tap a Menu Category to expand it.

Step 2 - Tap the product you wish to edit and the Menu Item window will open.

All fields can be edited as before, so make the changes you need and tap 'update' to save instantly.
