Stock Management

Stock Management is as important as building a Menu correctly.

Keep your customers informed and set the foundations for a great customer experience with the following tools in your Inventory.

Out of Stock

To mark an item on your menu as 'Out of Stock', simply open up the product, uncheck 'In Stock?' in the top right corner, and tap 'update'.

Changes are instant and the product will be greyed out on your menu when the page is refreshed. 'Out of Stock' status can also be applied to Modifiers. See the example phone screens below...

Tip: if you need to quickly see all items marked as 'Out of Stock', simply use the filter options at the top of the Inventory screen!

Disable Items

To completely hide a Menu Item or a Modifier from your Menu, simply click on the product, uncheck 'Enabled' in the top right, and tap 'update'.

Changes are instant and the product is removed from a customer's view completely when the page is refreshed.

Please note: a disabled Menu Item or Modifier stays within the same Category or Product in your Inventory. You can identify a disabled Item by checking its status as demonstrated below... However,f you need to quickly see all disabled items, simply use the filter options at the top of the Inventory screen!

Disable a Category

Following the same steps as above, tap the Category you wish to disable, uncheck 'Enabled', and tap 'update'.

Disabling a Category hides it and its entire contents from view on your Menu. There is no need to disable individual Menu Items if you need to disable an entire Category.

You can easily identify which Categories are disabled in your Inventory. They sit below all active/enabled Categories.

Deleting Menu Items & Categories

Please note: deleting a Menu Item or Modifier could affect your sales data.
If your venue is Live and customers have purchased this item, associated sales data will be lost once the item is deleted.
In this situation, we recommend disabling products instead. You could create a Category called 'disabled items' (or similar) to group any disabled products together. This will help keep your Inventory minimal.
If you  don't have sales data against a Menu Item (ie. you are not Live and haven't traded yet), you can go ahead and delete items.

Please note: a Menu Category should be empty before it is deleted.

Otherwise, Menu Items assigned to that Category will be removed from your Inventory too.

You can easily reassign Menu Items to other Categories (learn how to manage Menu Items).
