How do I set up Collections?

Getting started

Once you've enabled Collections, the associated settings will appear below.

(Or you can find the Collection settings under Settings > Ordering > Collection)

Step 1 - Collection Turnaround Time

Setting a Turnaround Time delays the earliest collection slot available to customers when ordering, giving your team the time they need to prepare the order. 
Set this to the length of time it usually takes to prepare an order. Don't forget to hit save after you change the Turnaround Time.

For example, if you set your Collection Turnaround Time to 30 mins, the earliest available collection time will be at least 30 mins from the time of order. 

Step 2 - Collection Time Intervals

Collection slots default to 15-minute intervals so customers will be able to select Collection slots that are 15 mins apart.

You can adjust this interval to allow extra or fewer collection slots per hour. Intervals must be between 10 and 60 minutes.

Step 3 - Advanced Collection Orders

Use this setting to determine how many days (up to a max. of 7 days) in advance that Collection orders can be made. 

To only allow orders for collection on the same day, please set it to 0.

Step 4 - Collection Hours

Use this to define the hours during which you offer Collection services.

Outside of these times, customers can still browse and order from your menu. This setting just dictates when customers can book their collection slots.

Collection Points

If your venue has multiple collection points (perhaps over various floors, counters or entrances) or you need to manage the flow of people in a space carefully, collection points can help!

Head to Settings > Ordering > Collection Points to add, edit and remove the points you need. 

Be creative with how you name them to ensure it suits your venue setup perfectly.

Once collection points have been set up, you are able to assign an order to a collection point was the order has been prepared.

Dynamic Messaging

If you'd like to customise your Collection experience even further and make the customer experience as smooth as possible, make use of our Dynamic Messaging feature (Settings > Messaging).

Here, you can change the name of your Collections (e.g. Takeaway, Grab and Go, Pickup) and the language of Collection instructions and messages to reflect your venue's preference.
