Can I add a service charge or transaction fee to customer orders?

Getting started

Once you have enabled Table Service you can find the Service Charge and Transaction Fee settings in your Dashboard under Settings > Ordering > Order Fees / Charges.


Service Charges

From the Venue Settings tab, you can easily add a percentage-based Service Charge to all your Table Service orders. 

Select Mandatory to add the charge to all bills or Optional so customers can opt-in or out. 

Service Charges are not applied to Collection or Delivery orders.


Transaction Fees

Transaction Fees can help offset your costs. You can add a fixed Transaction Fee to each order from the Venue Settings tab of your Dashboard.

Please note: Transaction Fees apply to both Table Service AND Collection orders.


What if I have an active Discount Code?

When creating a new Discount Code you have the choice of whether the Service Charge is calculated on the Gross Price of the order before or after Discounted Basket Value. 

Don't forget that you can also decide if a discount code can be applied to each Dines Service (Table Service, Collections, or Delivery) separately.
