Now you have Menu Items with Modifier Categories, you can offer customisation options with Modifiers (as illustrated below).

Step-by-step: How to create a Modifier

Step 1 - Open a Menu Item (Inventory > Menu Category > Menu Item), scroll to the bottom of the window, and tap 'add modifier' next to the relevant Modifier Category.

Step 2 - Complete the relevant fields (descriptions below) & tap 'create'.

• Name - aim to keep this short (under 25 characters)
• Price (£) - the price impact of the Modifier. This can be a minus number.
• Position - number Modifiers to order them within a Category. Items with the same number are listed alphabetically.
• Default? - 'Yes' means modifiers are automatically selected as customers browse your menu. This is useful when it's appropriate to guide choices.
• Discount Applicable? - 'Yes' means this Modifier can have discounts applied. Learn more about Discount Codes.
• Description - help customers understand the Modifier in fewer than 100 characters.
• Allergens - keep customers safe and informed.
• Dietary Requirements - label products so customers can select Modifiers to suit their needs.
• Enabled - deselect to hide the Modifier from customer view completely.
• In Stock? - deselect to mark an item as out of stock in your Menu (learn more about Stock Management).

How to manage Modifiers

Step 1 - Tap a Menu Item, scroll to the bottom of the window, expand the Modifier Category, and tap the relevant Modifier.

Step 2 - The Modifier window will open. All fields can be edited as before, so make the changes you need and tap 'update' to save instantly.
