Taking an Order
How to take an Order
Now that you're all set up, the next step to introduce yourself to your new EPOS system is, of course, taking an order!
For this tutorial, we will be taking an order for a single Whitley Blood Orange with a Elderflower Tonic and a medium glass of Los Picos Sauvignon Blanc.
1. Find to the Item you need. You can scroll through your Menu Categories at the bottom of the EPOS Dashboard or use the Search bar at the top.
Like your Menu, clicking an Item will display the available Modifiers you have for this product.
2. Select the Modifiers your Customer has chosen and click 'Add' to add this Item to the Order.
3. You will see now, to the right of your screen, that the item is now added to the Order. Let's move on to the White Wine next.
4. To find the White Wine Category on your EPOS system, simply scroll along to the right or left.
5. As before with the Gin, tap the item and you will see the Modifiers attached to this product.
6. Select the Customer's chosen Modifier and 'Add for £X'.
7. On your right of the screen, you will now see that the wine has been added to the Order.
Next, let's look at choosing the Table/Location for the Order.
Choosing a Table/Location for the Order
1. Below the total amount of the Order, click on 'Select a Location'.
2. You'll see all available Locations set up on your Dines Dashboard. For this order example, we will choose Table 7.
3. As you can now see, below the Total amount, the Order now has a Location set and is ready for Payment Options.

Adding Notes/Special Requests
1. Should your Customer have any Special Requests, select 'Add Note' and you'll see a window to add any notes to the Order.
2. Simply type the request from the Customer and click 'Add Request' to attach the note to the Order.
3. If you need to, you can click back on to your note and make any edits before taking payment.
